To Everybody...

Time sure does fly, doesn't it?

It's now 2009... Who would've guessed it?

Well, if there's one thing I must say, it's that this year has been a great year as every year has been and that evrything went well as far as I am concerned...

So before I say goodbye to 2008, i just want to say a few words to all my friends and family...

I just wanna let you guys know that... I treaure you guys... Every second that I spend with all of you, every one I meet in fact, I thank you for taking some time up to talk to me, or even just say "HI!" I just wanna say that ALL of you have made an impact upon my life, wether or not you know it... One day when i'm gone, i'd like all of you to know that all of you have been there and my life had changed because you guys were there!!! Of course, I thank God that He sent all of you there, and put it in your hearts to be as you are... All of you are special in your own way, keep it that way!!! :)

Yeah, that's about it... Hoping to get back to proper blogging soon :)

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, friends and family, those in my life and those I love...

I have a VERY important announcement to make!!!

This blogger will NOT be active in any forms of online nor offline communication beginning later today ALL the way till 30th December 2008... The reason being so? I will be taking a 12-day-leave and heading waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down south, to visit my koala and kangaroo buddies :)

Yup, that's right, i'll be heading up to KL later today and flying off to Perth at midnight 2mrw, and later ending up in the southwest tip of Australia in a land called... Albany... Heard it's freezing down there, IN THE WINTER!!! As such, I doubt very much that i'll be seeing any computer screens anytime soon...

Oh and to save us from the TERRIBLE oversea handphone rates, i'm not even sure wether my phone will be on...

In any case, I would still LOVE to hear news from all of you, especially since it's the Christmas period and so you can just send greetings (If you intend to) to any of the communication tools... I'll get it when I get back... Thanks once again and Blessed Christmas to all!!! :)

Long overdue... Too Long...

I guess it's been... Too long...

Way too long...

It's been way too long since...

1. I've been back in BP (Now there's so much change, even a 24-hour drive-thru McD ok? Dun play-play XD)
2. I last blogged (Hey it ain't MY fault, ok? These blogs take forever to think of something 2 write about, and when you do, you say to yourself  "Aiyah,  lazy la... Tomorrow lah :P)
3. I had last driven (Yeah, I know what they say about driving a car like riding a bicycle, but still, imagine riding a bicycle carrying 4 other passengers who put their life in YOUR hands... Kinda scary, no?)
4. I had last touched my PS2 console (Oh, but i'm gonna, at least the moment i'm done with this post :P)
5. I last played badminton (And that was clearly proven by my terribly outstanding performance whilst playing with my dad and his friends. And again I stress on the word "TERRIBLY")
6. I've been back in HSBP (or High School Batu Pahat)... I truly do miss the school... 

I realized that time really does fly... About five months ago I was sitting on the same bed I am now, not doing anything and wondering if there could possibly be anything to do yet at the same time fearing the day that I would finally leave "the nest".

Having a nice chat today with buddies Dzulqarnain and Hilal brought me to realize that life really is unpredictable... Stories of "The Prefect Board" and "Keeper Kebal" made me realize just how much things have changed in the course of... Say... One year? I had a great time with them, though! Great to have friends who still care to see you after you've not seen them for months!

In the same way, Hilal being a SAM MARA scholar at Taylor's made a few comments that made me reflect upon life in general and specifically as students in the ICPU at Taylor's...

In a bigger picture, looking back at ALL these stuff, I don't really know what to say... God has indeed put me at just the right time, in just the right place, and put friends and family there as well... Indeed I am truly blest, at every point of my life I have friends whom I know would always be there for me when i needed help in anything whatsoever. I never lacked physically, socially, mentally nor spiritually as God always guided me, and continues to do so everyday of my life...

I thank you Father, that through my friends, family, and people around me, and in Your own special way You always reveal Yourself to me. Thank You that in Your own special way You never cease to amaze me and just say "Hi!". Bless all my friends and family with an extra portion of Your blessing and keep them safe, secure and blessed all their days. Thanks Father!!! I know You will answer and grant them these blessings, for I ask and pray all this in Jesus' name. Amen.

This prayer was from my heart, and i mean it with all honesty. God bless!!!

Managed Data, Balancing Sciences...

Ahhh... The sweet scent of managed data...

"What?!?", you ask? Well, let me tell you... Earlier today was the final time I would have to bother memorizing weird formulas for Data Management... It was... Hmm... How do I put it? OK laaaaa... :)

Next up would be Chemistry, 1 to 3.30pm Thursday, and finally Physics, 8.30 to 11am Friday... Ahh, can't wait to go home... I miss 45, Jalan Melawati, Taman Bandar already, and not to mention family and HS guys left behind (That's High School BP to you guys)... One day i'll post pics of HS, in my point of view the MOST BEAUTIFUL school in the world...

According to Hazwan (ex-assistant head prefect, and also mah brudda XD), most of the gang has already been back since... Hmmm... About say 2, 3 weeks ago? Feels like it anyway... Oh well, wait for me guys...

Miss my ICPU mates? DEFINITELY... Can you actually believe that five months have gone by already? FIVE MONTHS!!! Next semester will fly by even faster (or so I heard), and then Canada... Scaaaaaaary...  D=

好朋友!!! (Gud frens...)

好朋友!!! Wow, everyone terribly amazed, totally dumfounded at my Chinese prowess yet? :P (Ok ladies and gentlemen of other languages as well as members of The United International Banana Consortium, 好朋友 or hao peng you / ho peng yu / whatever laaa... Means good friends... Go study Chinese laaa...)

Coincidentally, it also happened to be the group name for my final Chemistry presentation, one where we decided to go with the idea of "Fitzroy's Stormglass"... No idea what's that? I'll give you 2 hints... 

 

1. It has something to do with Charles Darwin and... 

2. There is such a thing as GOOGLE!!!

 

So okay after you took some time off to google out Fitzroy and admire the photograph, time for me to talk a little about my group... (Thx 4 helping us take photographs, photographer!!! :P)

On the left (in PINK!!! It was supposed to be red...) is Ah Seng, followed by me, Zuhair, Thillaga and Mathew... Missing is team mascot (Err those who know... Shhhh... :P)

Ok, this all-star team was formed a while back when we were told to design a project or something to market to the general audience... (And also to boost our marks... Hopefully...) Anyway, long discussions, unpaid "belanja minum"s, weird videos and stuff like that, and we end up with... 好朋友!!! Ok let me go into detail about all the members personally...

 

AH SENG (Marketing)

The most relaxed and understanding group member, I find him to be a very interesting guy... The way he is, he can mix with practically anybody, and he can do jolly well whatever he wants or needs to... A jolly and jovial guy, when I was panicky about him wearing pink, he was going "aiyah nevermind laaa, pink oso red colour maaaa!!!" Indeed, a truly nice guy in actions and deeds... With his wise cracks and witty conversations, he captures the attention of members and audience alike... A force not to be reckoned with... With all my heart I believe that if he's pursuing a degree in medicine, he'll get it, all right! And he'll make a fine doctor too!!!

 

ZUHAIR (R&D)

The most unique member of the group, he's a guy who lives and is led by the heart... Never afraid to voice out his views and opinions, he's quite a fun guy to hang out with... Kind of expressive in his own way, in no way is he hard to mix with others, be it other races, other religions and whatnot... His trademark "pink cap" wasn't worn in the picture nor the presentation, but it kind of makes him stand out in the crowd... Why pink? Well... Go ask him... A guy who tries his best when he has to and normally brings back great results... Both he and Ah Seng sit together and both of them show people what it's like to be ever joyful, never angry...

 

THILLAGA (Marketing)

Thillaga is, as it would seem, a perfectionist by nature... Usually hangs out with Mathew and a few others (or is it Mathew hanging out with her? Ah well...). Thillaga showed herself as a girl who selflessly went into research much earlier than us and was instrumental in listing out some of the potential products (I only pointed it out). I guess she was the one most worried about the presentation and our marks, and well... You do the math... A cheerful and bubbly girl most of the time, she can turn into a terror when angry with someone (like our mascot =O) She did a great job in taking our promotional video together with Mat n Hair... (Hey put on YouTube laaa :P)

 

MATHEW (R&D)

A soft-spoken young gentlemen, this guy clearly put in alot of effort as well in organizing the slides for the R&D department... Champion blogger and hard-worker, he seems to be everywhere at once, always finding time to disappear and jalan-jalan as well as blog... Great guy... He has an interesting way of agreeing with other people, by saying "yalor!!!" in a manner that is hard to describe by words... Hmmm... Ask him to show u laaa... East-Malaysian, fun guy to be hanging around with... He seems to have a way with most people and is kind at heart... (I think laaa... :P) Will probably comment about me writing about him... :P

 

Yup, in short, that's about team 好朋友, friends, partners in the line of work and essentially good friends... Basically, they did a GREAT job!!! They put many many many hours of work into it and it went well!!! Makes me feel kinda like a lousy CEO, but oh well, what can i say? They are such a great crowd, such fun hanging around and working with, and they do soooooo well together!!! Well, if a group project arises, pick on them, you won't regret it!!! (Hey, I give you all promotion muz pay 1 ok?)

No seriously... NOT!!! Honestly speaking, there's just been WAY too much work, assignments and studying due this week and the next... Speaking of which...

It's been... About 5 months now... Since i've entered college i mean... Time has passed us by way too fast... As such, i feel the need to say...

Thank you Father... You did not only lead me here, You put me here for a reason... I entrust each day into Your hands knowing that You love me and that You surprise me everyday, and everyday I look forward to see what You will  surprise me with... You never cease to amaze me with the blessings You pour upon me... Thank You... Thank You for providing me with beautiful, loving friends that care about me and that I care about, thank You for giving me such a caring and loving family of which I love, thank You for a billion other things that is just too much to say...

Ok, now as we're heading towards the end of the 1st semester in TUCMC (Taylor's University College Main Campus), it suddenly reminds me of...

It's been 5 months (Yea i know, I keep saying that... Still, it's kinda hard to believe...) since i entered college, 5 months of studies has passed... This is... Kinda like the last lap before the next semester, the last hurdle before the finishing line...

The jewels in my life...

Yea!!! I'm back!!! First up, a BIG words of thanks and sorry to the guys n gals faithfully following my blog... Out cold for the past few days (BIG time!!!) cause of assignments... There's also another reason i've delayed this post, i'll explain it RIGHT at the end...

Yup, i'm back on track... (Tho still super-sleepy... Kinda...)

Ok ladies and gentlemen, today i'm gonna introduce all of you to... MY FAMILY!!! This group of people have faithfully stood through my nonsense all the years of my life... (Of course all the years of HER life for my lil sis laaaa) Well, what can I say here? If it's true what people say, that a picture paints a thousand words; listen to them...

This is dad, the best father anyone could ever have, the the father i would never change for a million kings... A man of great wisdom, he has in fact inspired me to do many things in life which i would never have enjoyed otherwise... His wisdom and patience in dealing with court cases, clients and matters in everyday life has never failed to leave me dumbfounded... How could a man know basically EVERYTHING and yet be so humble about it? He's the one who taught me to do the things i love doing, be it electrical, plumbing, debating, all the way to just fixing stuff... Although many times he's had a stressful day at work, he comes home and always greets his family with a smile... Work related stress? Aplenty... Yet, as his child, he's NEVER lashed out at me or any other family member solely because of stress... Dad has always been the one who knows what to do whenever we're in trouble and in need of anything... He's always there to bail us out when we get into trouble, and he knows exactly how much to show us and how much for us to figure out ourselves... Daddy's always the one to download sermons, yet never take it at face value, rather read through the bible to determine its' authenticity... Bottomline? My daddy, the best dad in the world, only one for me... I love him for who he is, what he has been, and who he ever will be, my DAD!!!

This is Girlie (sometimes also known as Amanda)... My little sister and youngest in the family... Won't change her for a million princesses... She brings joy into the family through her many subtle ways... People say we look very much alike... (must be because of the eyebrows^^) Yeah, she does very much control  what we eat most of the time when we eat out, but there's no complain... Very understanding girl, she can be the most compassionate girl if needs be... Her newest addiction? RUBIX CUBE!!! Being a girl who always saves every sinlge cent given to her, she still finds pleasure in making the rest of her family members happy... NEVER has she forgotten a birthday or christmas present and she's ever willing to spend A LOT of her money to show her love for her family members... She actually takes the time to think of what present is most suitable for her koko or her niko (me!!!) and never stinges when it comes to giving. She would depend on me to teach her sejarah, and fro there i knew that her grasping of concepts is so extraordinary... She'll make it far in life... Her talent in music and her bubbly, cheerful nature makes having a sister even a joyful event!!! (sometimes... :-P) In short, she is my sis, the best sister in the world... I love her for who she is, who she was, and who she ever will be... My SISTER!!!

This lady, beside girlie, is MUMMY... The best mother in the world, the lady i wouldn't change for a million queens... Mummy's the most compassionate and understanding lady the world has ever known. Never would she withhold something that would bring joy to another family member. She's always the woman to show her love towards us, never fearing wether or not we are in public. Through this one lady, i understood the meaning of what it is to love and to give of our all to the ones we love. I guess mum is the one who in a sense, showed me what God's love could be like, and so did Dad... This is due to the fact that... If earthly parents could love us to such an extent, what more our Heavenly Father? Mom even set a rule that we should call her whenever we miss her, everyday... So to those who see me often calling someone on the phone? That would be mom :) Mummy has always been there when we need someone to complain to, someone to lend us her shoulder or someone to just dote on us... A mom who taught us not through words, but mostly through actions. Both mum and dad have one vitue which i pray one day i would achieve, they NEVER lie... Not about "later police come" or anything of the sort. I even had my mouth washed with soap once 'cause she said she'd do so if i lied again... Never fails to show love, discipline, faithfullness and everything good at the same time. Mummy, the best mother anyone could ever have, the only mother i would ever want... I love her for who she is, who she has been, and who she ever will be!!! Nothing will ever change that!!! 

With Girlie here is koko... The eldest boy in the family and my only brother. He's been my companion and friend for the past 18 years, and only left when he had to go to uni... He's been the one to talk to when i needed to discuss issues about organization, games or just talk trash... Koko's a very patient guy... I mean VERY patient... Sometimes tough, i think dis patience allows him to be bullied... Oh well, he's my brother anyway... A real smart guy he is as well... His way of thinking is different from mine and so together, we're quite a deadly brotherhood at tackling co-op games... Both of us speak Greek, (or so mum, dad and girlie thinks...) when we speak to each other... (Hmm, i think slightly closer to russian laaa :P) He's the one who has been my roommate the longest in my life, and he's the one (sorta) who jaga-ed me throughout this 18 years... Having a koko like him was in a sense very good, yet bad in another... Why, you ask? Everytime I applied for something, be it school or tuition, the first impression everyone would give was... "Oh!!! adik Matthew ya???" (For those non-Malay-speakers... "Oh!!! Matthew's brother ya???") Oh well... It always worked out as i had a certain bar set for me, and all i had to do was climb it... Weird thing is, people had always seemed to know that koko was my brother... At one time, a shopkeeper even asked, "Eh? Twins ah???" O_o I don't get it... The mustache, maybe? Anyway, in short, koko's the brother i had in my life and always will be... I love him for who he is, who he was to me and who he ever will be... My BROTHER!!!

Alright, now that i've talked about ALL my family members... I guess it's time to reveal why i ceased publication of new material for sooooo long... Today is a special day for my Mom and dad... It's their 25th SILVER WEDDING ANNIVERSARY TODAY!!! Honestly, mom and dad make up the perfect couple, proof that there can be matches made in heaven, matches that TRULY love one another and that put God in the middle as the one who bids the two souls together... As a  team, they have not only told me, but have SHOWN me what it is to truly love someone selflessly... 25 years of building a family is never an easy thing to do, many have stumbled in the process... Yet mum and dad made it through... I can only pray that one day, I too will find a right partner in life, as mum and dad have... One that can, with me, have and hold, pray with me in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, that even death cannot seperate... May God continue to bless and prosper my family, especially mummy and daddy, as He always has and bless them in all that they do, that we can be beacons of light for His name...

Peom-Crafting 101

Ah Ben has a way of teaching English, you know? Even though i've been learning English (more or less) all my life, i've never seen English put together in quite the manner he's doing it...

Oh well, moving on, lets talk a bit about POETRY!!!

For those taking ENG3U, you should know... Anyway, basically there are LOTS of forms of poetry, written in many many many ways, of which some are more nonsensical than others, and some requiring more thought...

In any case, it ISN'T EASY!!!

Oh well, at least Ah Ben gave us a... Somewhat easier method on decideing what poem to do, and how to do it... In his words "There's no point in me FORCING you to do a specific type of poem... If it's not from your heart or what you want to do, it's not really a poem..." No offense to other teachers...

Ok well, for those eager to try out his method, here goes... Prepare a piece of paper and a pen/pencil, now let no one see what you write... You have to be honest or else it won't work...

Ready? OK!!! 

Answer these questions...

1. How do  you feel right now?
2. What are the three biggest issues on your mind right now?
3. What was the most faqntastic thing you ever witnessed?
4. What are the five most important things in the world to you?
5. What are your greatest fears?
6. If you had one chance to send out a message to the entire world, what would that message be?

Got it? Alright, now draw 3 boxes and make mind maps out of it with the three ideas from earlier that you think are easiest to elaborate in poem form...

Got it? Now you're all set to go!!!

And you've got 1 week plus to finish it, together with a reasoning for EVERY word, EVERY rhyme and basically EVERY thing else, go forth and write thine poem!!!

It's no cliche when i say that when God blesses us, He blesses us with OVER-ABUNDANCE!!! I thank God that God put you here to bless me with a smile or just a jovial "hi Malcolm!", a kind hand when i'm down... Truly, in sending friends to me, God has outdone Himself this time...

Don't know if i've mentioned this before, but I just wanted you to know that both you and Sasi helped me ALOT especially after that one horrid Chemistry test, and both of you truly lifted my spirits! From what I see, God sent both of you as His representatives, to truly back to gladness...

All sorts of thoughts came into my mind as i thought of what I could do to gain entry... It was important, my stuff was in the room... I needed to go to school tomorrow...

All I can say at this point is... Thank God for all three of them...

In all honesty, I can't explain what ACTUALLY happened on an online blog, it's WAAAAAAAY too dangerous... However those interested, i'd be more than glad to tell you personally...

So long, Chemistry Lab!!!

Today was... Something different, in a sense...

It was the last experiment we'd ever need to do in the Chemistry lab...

It's weird, you know? How you start to miss things when they're gone?

Aww come on!!! It's only a lab for goodness sake!!! Oh well, lots of experiments have gone on in there, i guess it's only right if we give the lab a rest...
