A Leader?

The normal perception is to think that a leader is one who would just "lead" by name, order everybody around, take all the credit and then just laze off with a great name...

The question then thrown is, a TRUE leader... Is that what he/she does?

In all sincerity, I have to disagree... By definition, a leader is one who LEADS... (Like, DUH!!!)

A leader is...
One who can relate to his people...
One who understands them...
One who can see his people by their strengths, not their weaknesses...
One who will understand that being spat at, scorned upon and laughed at by others is normal...
One who can differentiate between his enemies and his friends...
One who will not let his personal life interfere with his line of duty...
One who is willing to cover up and take the blame for the shortcomings of his members...
One who sees the potential, not "uselessness" in a person...
One who looks at something (or someone) and sees what "can be", not what "is"...
One who takes success as motivation and failure as the beginning of success...
One who does not fear being rejected by his own people...
One who does not fear the truth...
One who is willing to make a decision, stick with it and face the consequences, whatever it be...

Not possible?

Maybe...

I know of one man who walked the face of the Earth who did it...

And so, I shall try to do so too...

And if I never become as such? I shall die trying...

P/S : And i'm sorry to my own leaders, I know it's tough being a leader... But just hang in there... As long as you try your best, your people remember you... And in the end... That's all that matters...

Being a leader isn't a promotion...
It's a burden...
But bear it with pride...
Your members... THEY are your pride and joy...
Take pride in them, for in the end when all else fails...
THEY will be what's left...
